An Introduction to The House of Watson

Nov 22, 2022

Let me tell you what my blog is all about...

Welcome, friend! I am so happy you came across my blog and I hope you choose to stay awhile.

First things first, my name is Whitley and I started this blog to share my journey in DIY and home design. I am a Registered Nurse who found a second calling in the field of interior design, and I chose to start chasing my dreams over the last year! I have been doing DIY projects and interior decorating for years but over time I started to consider if I could turn this passion of mine into a career. What started as a daydream has transformed into a business that has changed my life in the best way. As I was reminiscing over the journey that got me to this point, I wondered if anyone else may be interested in following along with me. So here’s to hoping that answer is yes and if so, welcome!

From my blog you can expect to learn about DIY projects, interior design, balancing two careers, starting a new business, home staging, and everything in between! When I’m not working as a nurse or in a client’s home, you can find me starting a new project in my own house. This behind-the-scenes blog will show the "polished chaos" that comes with home design because the process is not always as beautiful as the end result!

Curious to see how you can learn to complete projects and make your own design dreams come true? Follow along with my latest projects on instagram @thehouseofwatson where I give daily updates between blog posts!

The motto: If I can complete a project, so can YOU!
